Surratt Law Practice focuses exclusively on families. Kimberly Surratt is a fellow with the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology, American Society of Reproductive Medicine, National Center for Lesbian Rights, National LGBT Bar Association, Nevada Justice Association, and the National Family Law Advisory Council. Surratt lobbied for the passage of the Nevada Domestic Partnership Bill, the Uniform Collaborative Law Act and numerous other family law and adoption statutes. She often speaks on LGBT family law, assisted reproductive and parentage matters at conferences. Surratt Law Practice provides flat fee packages for most of the assisted reproductive technology services that we provide. The reason we work on a flat fee is to assure that our clients are able to (1) budget for their costs associated with their matter, and (2) because we want our clients to have an open door to come to us for ongoing negotiations without worrying about being billed each time they reach out to us. Our firm can provide legal services in the States of Nevada and California.
Kimberly Surratt has a license to practice law in both Nevada and California. She began her legal career in 2002 and she opened Surratt Law Practice in 2007. In 2004, she had her first surrogacy matter after which she immersed herself in assisted reproduction law, parentage, and adoption. Kimberly became a fellow with the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys in 2010 and today she is on their board of trustees. A huge achievement in Nevada was due to Kimberly’s hard work in lobbying for every reproductive law change in Nevada to date, including a major change in insurance law mandating surrogacy coverage. She served for eight years on the executive council and served as the chair of the State Bar of Nevada Family Law Section. Currently, she sits on the board for Reproductive Alliance, is the President of the Nevada Justice Association, and she continues to lobby for important family law changes in the State of Nevada.
