Brad Spencer - Founder & Managing Partner
Brad Spencer, a Los Angeles native, has spent over 50 years in the city and nearly 20 as a successful investment professional. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from CSUN, and enjoys tennis, traveling, and spending time with his family. In 2014, he founded this agency, which has since celebrated over 700 births for parents in 30+ countries across six continents. Tennis brought Brad and his husband together. They met at a tournament on the Gay and Lesbian Tennis Alliance (GLTA) World Tour. A competitive doubles match led to shared glares and, ultimately, a lasting connection. Both Brad and his husband come from large Italian and Mexican families, and always dreamed of having children. They realized this dream through surrogacy, welcoming twin boys with the help of a family member as an egg donor. They maintain a close relationship with their surrogate and her family. Beyond his professional and family life, Brad actively volunteers for The Trevor Project, a non-profit dedicated to LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention.

Heath Tucker - Director of Intended Parent Services
Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, Heath lived in New York City for 12 years where, in 2009, he met his husband, Carlos. While in NYC, Heath became deeply involved in activism, co-founding Civil Rights Front and organizing major LGBTQ+ protests for marriage equality. He and Carlos always dreamed of becoming fathers. They made the move to Southern California and with the help of Same Love Surrogacy, they welcomed their son, Jackson, in 2020, and their daughter, Margeaux, in 2024. This personal journey to fatherhood inspired Heath to return to his activist roots and join SLS in 2020. He is passionate about helping others achieve their dream of family, recognizing the global obstacles faced by LGBTQ+ families and those experiencing fertility challenges. Heath’s recent personal experience and his involvement in helping over 100 babies come into the world make him an asset to his team of coordinators and the intended parents whose cases he manages. He aims to bridge the gap for IPs, guiding them towards a life filled with happy snuggles.

Kevin Putrus - Intended Parent Coordinator
Kevin Putrus, a San Diego native, joined Same Love Surrogacy (SLS) driven by his personal experience with two surrogacy journeys. Before SLS, he was a stay-at-home parent for three years, a construction project manager for six years, and worked in insurance for five years. His passion for supporting others in their parenthood aspirations was ignited by his own path to building a family. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Kevin and his husband explored various paths to parenthood after meeting in 2013. They welcomed their first child in 2018 and a second in 2021, with the help of an egg donor and two surrogates. Their family has lived in Sydney, Australia, and Phoenix, Arizona, and is now based in San Diego. In his free time, Kevin enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, visiting the San Diego Zoo, and relaxing at the beach.

Markus Domitzi - Intended Parent Coordinator
Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, Markus Domitzi earned a Bachelor's Degree in communication studies from the University of Vienna and another in education studies from Goethe University of Frankfurt, qualifying him as a teacher. He also gained media experience, including a semester abroad at UCLA. In 2018, Markus and his husband began their surrogacy journey, originating at a Men Having Babies conference in New York. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic and travel bans, they made a last-minute decision to fly from Frankfurt to Los Angeles on the final flight before US borders closed. They stayed in the US for nearly three months, welcoming their son at the end of April 2020. Markus's personal surrogacy experience deeply impacted him, inspiring him to become a Kinderwunsch-Coach, dedicated to guiding others toward parenthood. He now works as a consultant in Germany and as an external consultant for Same Love Surrogacy, assisting German-speaking intended parents from Europe throughout their surrogacy journeys.

Monica Lopez - Managing Partner
Monica Lopez, a Southern California native, brings over 25 years of experience in the fertility industry to her role at Same Love Egg Donation & Surrogacy, where she leads a dedicated team of eight surrogate coordinators. Her career began after earning dual degrees—a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science—from the University of California, Irvine. Before joining Same Love in 2018, Monica served as Nurse Manager at California Fertility Partners, a leading IVF clinic. Her extensive clinical experience, spanning thousands of egg donor and surrogate cycles, paired with her own experience as a mother of two, allows her to provide compassionate, knowledgeable support to all surrogates in her care. Monica is deeply committed to supporting LGBTQ+ families and has been an active participant in MHB conferences. She oversees all Spanish-speaking surrogate cases, bringing fluency in Spanish and cultural sensitivity to her work. Outside of her professional life, Monica enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and going all out with holiday decorating.

Samantha Peckerar - Director of Egg Donor Services
Samantha Peckerar, raised in Virginia, moved to California at 20 and now resides in Riverside County. She moved cross-country with her fiancé, and they have been happily married for 21 years. With 25 years in the medical field, Samantha has specialized in infertility for 20 of those years. Her experience spans various aspects of infertility, and she has personally been an egg donor ten times. Samantha had the opportunity to meet two sets of her intended parents and remains in contact with one today. Her passion is ensuring egg donors enjoy the process as much as she did. Samantha's dedication to building families through egg donation and surrogacy led her to Same Love Surrogacy in 2021. In her role, she manages egg donor services and provides support to egg donors and intended parents. Outside of work, Samantha enjoys fitness, outdoor activities, and traveling with her family. At home, she cherishes pizza nights, puzzles, and board games with her family, often balancing these with attending her four children's sporting events.

Vom ersten Gespräch an hat er mit seiner freundlichen, transparenten und natürlichen Art unser Vertrauen gewonnen und immer wieder bestärkt. Gerade Vertrauen ist unersetzlich wenn man mit viel Geld hantiert ohne sicher zu sein was am Ende der Reise wartet. Nahezu rund um die Uhr erreichbar – keine Nachricht blieb länger als 24h unbeantwortet – hat Brad uns unsere (vielen) Unsicherheiten nach und nach nehmen können. Seit einigen Jahren im Geschäft und selbst Vater zweier toller Söhne durch Leihmutterschaft, hat er viel Erfahrung und die notwendigen Kontakte. Er vermittelte uns Guy Ringler und Milena O´Hara, mit beiden waren wir hochzufrieden. Nach wenigen Wochen fanden wir mit Brads Hilfe eine tolle Eizellspenderin und dann unsere einmalige Leihmutter, die unseren Sohn sicher und mit Hingabe austrug und ohne irgendwelche Komplikationen zur Welt brachte. Aller Unwägbarkeiten durch die Pandemie zum trotz war und ist Brad immer auf dem Laufenden. Potentielle Nervenkiller wie Einreise/Ausreise, Behördengänge, Passformalitäten liefen unter seiner Führung völlig reibungslos. Egal ob Kindersitz oder Milchpumpe für die Leihmutter, ein Anruf an Brad und die Dinge waren organisiert. Als spektakuläres Sahnehäubchen durften wir bei ihm zu Hause wohnen, waren im Familienleben integriert (epische Sequenzschlachten inklusive) und unser Sohn wurde nach der Geburt von Brads Mann Oscar kinderärztlich betreut! Wir sind Brad unendlich dankbar und können ihn als All-In-One-Paket uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. PS: Weiteres Plus: Im Gegensatz zur Konkurrenz werden Agenturgebühren (abgesehen von 1000$ Deposit) erst nach erbrachter Leistung abgerechnet.

Brad and team prioritize client service and commit themselves to delivering superior outcomes for everyone involved in the journey (parents, surrogate, surrogate's spouse, and of course, the newborn child!), and this focus and commitment never wavered. They were proactive (anticipating our needs and often taking action even before we contacted them with a question or request), and responsive (average turnaround time for e-mail was "within the hour", and only minutes for text messages, even on nights and weekends). They provided helpful advice, quickly smoothed the inevitable "bumps in the road", and treated us, our surrogate, and her family professionally and respectfully at all times. For our first child, we worked with another agency (one regarded as the "industry pioneer"), and were surprised to learn that with them, we were effectively serving as the "program manager" across all entities involved in the journey. We found ourselves frequently calling attorneys to check the status of paperwork and money transfers, coordinating with hospitals and health insurers, and even giving status on the overall process to the agency itself, which told us that they would not have otherwise known the status unless we had communicated it to them. We began to wonder what value they were actually providing in exchange for the hefty fee that we were paying. They even mandated that we engage a psychological counselor, even though we objected to this as an unnecessary expense and found the sessions to be useless. With SLS, we experienced none of this annoyance, and felt that we were both in control and receiving true customer service in exchange for our fee (which, incidentally, was far lower than that of our first agency).

We feel our agency advocates for the egg donors and surrogates much more than the IPs. They will ask IPs to accommodate virtually anything to make the egg donor or surrogate comfortable because they are giving the "gift of life." This agency is perfect for IPs who are blessed financially and don't like to do the work on their own to save money and time. We had to shop around ourselves for third party needs (psych, attorneys, insurance) in order to get the best rates possible because we felt our agency cares about cost for IPs. We also felt we had to coordinate our own journey most of the time because we were able to lower the costs and receive faster outcomes that way. Again, this is a good agency for IPs who just want to pay whatever amount, sit and relax in order to get an outcome (child/ren) but not for proactive IPs like us.

From that moment forward I was supported and guided through the process as if by a brother. To be completely honest, we were initially skeptical and hesitant for obvious reasons: SLS is a new agency with no successes or experiences to speak of. But, while we contacted and compared SLS with other agencies and clinics, we decided to take the chance with SLS. First, a disclosure: some of the co-founders are friends. And, pricing is "on par" with other agencies. But, what made us go with SLS was the co-founders' backgrounds and experiences via their own journeys. Those journeys gave SLS intimate knowledge on the process and connections with good clinics, firms, and personnel. More importantly, their journeys translated into the co-founders' commitment to ensuring that our journey - our and SLS' first - would be done as best as SLS can do, from beginning to end. The journey was not without some problems. Indeed, there were miscommunications from moving parts in the process that was not SLS' fault. Nonetheless, SLS took responsibility for those issues and followed up with us, making sure we were aware of everything that went on. SLS managed our entire journey, from lining up potential donors and surrogates, to reminding us of dates and visits, to being there with us at the hospital for the births. In the end, taking that chance resulted in two beautiful babies. We have SLS to thank. What makes SLS a worthwhile agency is that it is currently the only agency in the US (that we know of) that specifically caters to the LGBT community. More importantly, SLS is committed to working with you throughout the entire process. While it has some kinks to work out - typical with any new and growing firm - SLS is simply a great agency to work with.
