Melenni Balbach is co-founder of Balbach & Davenport Legal, where her practice focuses on assisted reproductive technology law, estate planning, and collaborative family law. She has practiced family law since 2021 and has been handling ART matters since 2022, representing intended parents, surrogates, and donors in surrogacy agreements, donor contracts, and pre-birth order proceedings throughout North Carolina. Melenni is passionate about serving non-traditional families and helping clients navigate a legal landscape that hasn't caught up with how modern families actually look. She brings a straightforward, approachable style to her practice because legal support should feel empowering, not intimidating. Melenni is a North Carolina native and has been recognized as a 2026 Super Lawyers Rising Star. She is a member of the Family Law Institute of the National LGBTQ+ Bar and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. When she's not practicing law, she runs on coffee and figuring out how to make legal education actually interesting.
