Brian Klein, owner and partner of the firm Klein Fertility Law, practices exclusively in the area of fertility law. Over the past 11 years, Brian has managed over six thousand surrogacy matches, and managed thousands of other egg donation, sperm donation and embryo donation arrangements. Klein Fertility Law has a multilingual staff consisting of five mandarin speaking team members to assist Intended Parents from Asia. Brian Klein is a frequent guest speaker at international surrogacy seminars to provide guidance on cross-border surrogacy and egg donation issues, and to provide insight on California's laws. He is a member of the legal committee in the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy (SEEDS). Brian is licensed to practice law in the State of California.

Casey O'Connell joined Klein Fertility Law in 2019 as an associate attorney after previously owning and managing his own law firm. Casey's practice focuses on all aspects of third party assisted reproduction as well as estate planning and estate administration. Casey was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2012 after graduating magna cum laude from California Western School of Law, in San Diego, California. He became a member of the AAAA (Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys) in 2024 and, in April 2025, Casey became a member of the State Bar of Washington. Casey is an attorney who personally understands the needs of his clients with respect to fair access to reproductive healthcare and assisted reproduction, Casey approaches every client and their legal needs with care, understanding, and a sincere desire to help them start, grow, and protect their families.

Catherine McGowan, of Klein Fertility Law, is licensed to practice law in California and Germany, and holds a French Maîtrise in Legal and Economic Sciences. She has been practicing exclusively in the area of assisted reproductive technology law for almost a decade. Before that, her focus was international business counseling, for a German firm and then a Los Angeles law office. Catherine grew up bilingual in German and French. She entered a bi-national study program of German and French Law with venues in both Germany and France. She further earned a Master’s Degree in German and Foreign Law by writing a comparative thesis on legal child protection in Germany and France. Catherine gained her first professional experiences, among others, with the French Chamber of Commerce in China and the German Embassy in Uruguay. She is fluent in German, French, and English.
