Andrew Toledo - Reproductive Endocrinologist / Fertility Specialist
Andrew A. Toledo, M.D. became a member of the Reproductive Biology Associates team in 1990, and is the current CEO. He has treated infertile couples in the Atlanta area for over thirty years. His interest in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility began in medical school, when he had the opportunity to participate in an ongoing study of the psychological aspects of infertility. This interest flourished during his obstetrics and gynecology residency, after his work on the use of estrogen in damaged fallopian tubes was awarded first prize during Resident Research Presentations in 1980.

Daniel Shapiro - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Daniel B. Shapiro, M.D. joined Reproductive Biology Associates in 1995. A native of Miami, Florida, he graduated Magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He then went on to medical school at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and it was during this training that Dr. Shapiro first became interested in reproductive medicine by doing a research project with RBA in 1987.

Erin Lewis - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Erin Ilana Lewis, M.D. joined Reproductive Biology Associates in September 2021. As a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, she has special interests in fertility preservation, patients with diminished ovarian reserve, recurrent pregnancy loss and implantation failure. Dr. Lewis decided to practice infertility medicine to be able to give patients the ability to conceive no matter what their circumstances. Dr. Lewis grew up in Southern California and did most of her schooling in New England. She began her professional career in Northern California and recently located to Georgia to be closer to family and raise her two young children.

Jessica Rubin - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Jessica R. Rubin, MD MSCI, returned to her hometown of Atlanta to join the RBA team of physicians in 2018. She received her B.S. degrees in Science, Technology and Society as well as Hispanic Studies at Vassar College. Dr. Rubin earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Motivated by her interest in women’s health, she completed a four-year residency at Emory University and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her residency training reinforced her passion for helping couples with reproductive struggles.
Michael Witt - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Michael A. Witt, M.D. joined Reproductive Biology Associates in 1995 and specializes in the treatment of male infertility, sexual function and urology. Dr. Witt received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Diplomat of the American Urology Association, a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the American Society of Andrology.

Monica Best - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Monica W. Best, MD, joined Reproductive Biology Associates in the fall of 2013 after completing her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Best earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan where she graduated with honors and multiple academic awards to her credit. Dr. Best is a native of St. Louis and returned to Missouri for medical school where she was awarded a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Missouri School of Medicine. It was during medical school that Dr. Best became interested in research in reproductive medicine. She was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship where she did research and later published work on the novel rapid non-genomic actions of sex steroids at the University of Pisa in Pisa, Italy.

Robert Straub - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Robert J. Straub, M.D. joined Reproductive Biology Associates in August 2003. Though a native of New York, Dr. Straub received his B.A. from Davidson College in North Carolina. He then retuned to New York City and earned his medical degree from New York University. Following medical school, he completed a four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and was Chief Resident at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Scott Slayden - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Scott M. Slayden, M.D. joined RBA in January 2001. Originally a native of Coral Gables, Florida, Dr. Slayden moved to Atlanta and graduated high school from Pace Academy. He obtained a B.S. in Biology from Vanderbilt University in 1985, where he originally planned to obtain a Ph.D in marine biology and reproductive physiology. Experiences gained during his job as an undergraduate research assistant at the newly formed Vanderbilt IVF program eventually changed this plan. This one turn of events led to a true calling and career in reproductive medicine. Dr. Slayden obtained his M.D. in 1990 from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Zsolt Nagy - Reproductive Endocrinologist
Zsolt Peter Nagy, born in Hungary, joined Reproductive Biology Associates as Scientific and Laboratory Director in August 2002. He brings to RBA vast experience and expertise in performing and supervising assisted reproduction procedures. Dr. Nagy graduated summa cum laude from the Semmelweis Medical University of Budapest in 1986.He was awarded a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Free University of Brussels (VUB) in 1991. He went on to obtain a degree in Hospital medicine management at the VUB in 1993, and in 1998 was awarded a Ph.D. degree in biomedical science at VUB. In 1997 he completed his training and obtained a Specialist degree in OB/GYN. In 2003, Dr. Nagy obtained the degree of High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB).
