Joey Guzman-Kuffel is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy. Joey spent his early clinical years as a therapist working with individuals and families struggling with severe mental illness and behavioral issues at treatment centers. He transitioned into private practice and founded Counseling with Joey after his own journey with surrogacy. Joey and his husband welcomed a daughter through surrogacy in August 2019. Joey currently dedicates himself to providing support and psychological evaluations/consultations for surrogates, donors and intended parents.

Whittney Robertson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the Clinical Director at Counseling with Joey & Associates. Specializing in perinatal mental health, infertility, and third-party reproduction, she provides expert clinical support for individuals and families navigating complex family-building journeys, reproductive trauma, and postpartum mood disorders. Whittney performs comprehensive psychosocial evaluations in accordance with ASRM guidelines, emphasizing ethics, informed decision-making, and relational boundaries. Her extensive background in substance use recovery and personality disorders informs her holistic, multidisciplinary approach to assessing complex diagnoses and enhancing patient wellbeing.
