Dr. Jennifer Kulp-Makarov is board-certified in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility. She graduated cum laude from Tufts University with a BS in biology and was awarded her medical degree from UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her OB/ GYN residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Makarov has a special interest in helping couples conceive using both basic and advanced reproductive technologies. Dr. Makarov works closely with the LGBT community and has helped many single women and same sex couples to start or grow their families. Dr. Makarov is committed to helping people start or complete their families. She firmly believes in providing personalized, patient-centered and compassionate care to each individual seeking to become a parent.
Doctor Zhang is the founder of New Hope Fertility Center in New York City, where he has served as the Medical Director since opening in 2004. A true pioneer in the area of minimally invasive (Mini-IVF™) fertility care, Dr. John Zhang is an active researcher and medical technology developer. He has also been behind several notable achievements in the area of assisted reproductive technology (ART). As a renowned innovator in the modern approach to reproductive medicine, he has established some of today’s most groundbreaking infertility solutions, providing help to countless individuals and couples. Dr. Zhang commits his visionary approach to the continued progress in the field of reproductive medicine through ongoing research aimed at advancing the field. His ultimate goal is to develop fertility help in ways that are much easier and much less invasive than ever before. From preparing for IVF through successful treatment completion, Dr. Zhang actively oversees his patients’ process and is proud of the achievements heralded by New Hope Fertility Center.
Dr. Samuel Wong has a unique understanding of the IVF process and believes in individualized care. He has been in the medical field for over 20 years as a board-certified OB/GYN. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry with Honors and Distinction from Cornell University. He later pursued his professional doctorate degree at New York University School of Medicine and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at NYU Medical Center with recognition for laparoscopic surgeries. As Dr. Wong has spent the majority of his medical career within New York, he focuses his medical practice to giving back to the New York community and to all who seek his expertise. Dr. Wong has been a part of the New Hope family since 2009 where he specializes in fertility evaluations, treatments, and infertility procedures. He later expanded into private practice in 2013 in Flushing, New York to provide gynecological services, and his office collaborates with New Hope to provide superior infertility assistance. As an infertility physician, he believes in customizing each treatment accordingly to fit the needs of each patient.
Dr. Zitao Liu is world-renowned fertility doctor with a deep understanding of the field of Assisted Reproduction Technology (ART). His focus is on the development and implementation of individualized patient protocols in order to maximize a patient’s chance of conception. He received his medical degree from the Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences in China, then went on to earn his PhD from Wayne State University, studying pre-implantation embryonic development and completed his post-doctoral research on uterine responses to embryo implantation at Vanderbilt University. He completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, an affiliate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and, before joining New Hope Fertility Center in New York City, he practiced academic medicine as an attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Liu still actively continues his clinical research in embryo implantation and trophoblast differentiation. At the same time, he is constantly pursuing the development of new medical devices, novel medications, and advanced diagnostic approaches.
