Dr. Melvin Thornton - Medical Director, Reproductive Endocrinologist & Fertility Specialist

Dr. Melvin H. Thornton II, is double board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine. He received training in advanced reproductive surgery at The Cleveland Clinic before joining the faculty at Columbia University. Dr. Thornton has dedicated many years to teaching and mentoring medical students and gives board review lectures for OB/GYN, Family Medicine and Pediatrics residents. He is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), The American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and currently practices at Global Fertility & Genetics in New York, NY. He has been helping families in the Tri-state for over 25 years. He is one of the world's leading experts in egg donation and surrogacy and has done extensive research in fertility treatment for HIV+ couples. His patients describe him as a reassuring, caring, and personable physician.
