Dr. Ashim Kumar - Board Certified Endocrinologist, Infertility Specialist

Dr. Kumar is board certified in reproductive endocrinology, obstetrics and gynecology, and practices near Los Angeles, California at Western Fertility Institute. In recent years he has focused his efforts on those who have had difficulty conceiving and require third party reproduction (egg donation and gestational surrogacy). Obtaining the highest success rates achievable today, by combining meticulous attention to detail, a 7-day work ethic, the best support staff, and the latest technology, over half of his current patients travel from overseas which include countries such as Australia, China, Austria, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Israel, UK, Netherlands, and India. Dr. Kumar’s fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility allowed him to work with world-renowned leaders in the field at both UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Highly regarded in the field, he has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at the annual meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. He serves as an ad hoc reviewer for the journal Fertility and Sterility and is a Pacific Coast Reproductive Society member.

Corinna Guerzoni - Researcher

Corinna Sabrina Guerzoni is a Professor in Anthropology at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan – Italy, and a Researcher at Western Fertility Institute (California). In 2016, she was Visiting Researcher at San Diego State University, Department of Women's Studies (California). In 2017, she obtained the Ph.D. in Cultural and Social Anthropology at Milano-Bicocca University (Italy). In the same year, she received the VISA O-1a (Individuals with Extraordinary Ability) to conduct a 3 years postdoctoral research on surrogacy between USA and Europe.

Lin Lin - Asian Regional Manager

Lin is the Asian Regional Manager at Western Fertility Institute. She has been with the Institute since its founding in 2016. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, she helps to bridge the gap for patients from overseas to help ensure they get access to the best quality care and have a smooth, successful experience at the Institute. Lin is familiar with the workflow of each area of the Institute from self-pregnancy to surrogacy to egg donor, etc. She is excited to help bring the miracle of life to families. Lin graduated from Carleton University with a double major in Economics and Psychology. She is also a Level II Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Candidate.

Sara Hernandez - Egg Donor and Surrogate Liaison

Sara Hernandez currently works with most candidates that express their desire to become an egg donor and/or a surrogate mother. She has 10 years of previous experience in the fertility field, and has been an egg donor and surrogate herself. She is zealous about helping our egg donors and surrogate mothers have the best experience possible since her own experiences have been highly rewarding. Sara is very knowledgeable about the process and her guidance is a valuable asset to Western Fertility Institute.

Caitlin Moran - Third Party Program Manager

Caitlin graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Psychology. She oversees our egg donor program and coordinates the matching process. With a dedicated and warm approach, Caitlin guides our intended parents not only in the search for their desired donor, but also assists them with the financial planning of their journeys. Ultimately her goal is making sure all their initial needs are met at the highest level possible. Caitlin’s favorite moments are when the little ones come back to visit with their parents and enjoys the baby cuddles.

Doctor and staff have always been kind and informative. The only negative point is that given our age we asked to get the baby as fast as possible. Initially we were recommended to use fresh eggs but the donor didn't deliver. Now that I better understand the process I think we should have used frozen eggs since the beginning.

Our first journey resulted in our baby girl and our second with our twin boys. Dr Kumar's knowledge and care is the best out there.
